How SmartWay processes personal data for bookings, payments, support and website use.

2. Data we process
Depending on the service, we may process name, contact details, billing details, pickup and destination, travel date and time, passenger information, child age categories, luggage information, flight or train details, booking notes, customer communications and technical website data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process data to prepare offers, manage bookings and perform contracts; comply with accounting and tax obligations; provide customer support; protect legal claims and prevent fraud; and, where required, operate optional analytics or marketing tools on the basis of consent.
4. Payments
Online payments may be processed by providers such as Stripe. SmartWay does not store full card numbers. Payment providers process payment data under their own privacy terms.
5. Recipients
Data may be shared, where necessary, with drivers, transport providers, guides, hotels, attractions, booking platforms, payment providers, IT/hosting providers, accountants, professional advisers and public authorities where legally required.
6. International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, transfers are made using an applicable adequacy decision or other appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, legal retention duties and protection of legal claims.
8. Cookies
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent. Analytics, advertising or marketing technologies requiring consent must not load before the visitor actively opts in.
9. Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, object to certain processing and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
10. Supervisory authority
You may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic or, where applicable, another competent supervisory authority.
