Alternative Dispute Resolution

Information about out-of-court dispute resolution for consumers.

Effective from 5 October 2026

1. First contact SmartWay

Before starting an external dispute procedure, please send the complaint directly to SmartWay so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve it.

2. Slovak alternative dispute resolution

Consumers may have the right to request alternative dispute resolution under Slovak consumer-protection legislation if SmartWay rejects a complaint or does not respond within the legally required period.

3. Competent entities

Depending on the subject of the dispute, the competent ADR entity may include the Slovak Trade Inspection or another authorised body. Current information should be checked on the official website of the relevant authority.

4. Cross-border consumers

Customers resident in another EU/EEA country may also contact their national consumer centre or the European Consumer Centres Network for guidance on cross-border disputes.

5. Court rights remain unaffected

Using ADR does not remove any right to seek judicial protection where permitted by law.
